Sally Ann studied musical theatre with Ian Adam in London and graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama. She has sung in musicals all over England until 1997 when she began to study opera in Rome with the world renowned soprano, Antonietta Stella. Sally Ann studied opera for over five years in Rome, during which time she returned regularly to London where she sang in LElisir DAmore, I Pagliacci, Cavalleria Rusticana, Die Fledermaus, LArlesiana and LAmico Fritz. She returned to Italy in November 2003 where she has continued to sing opera at concert performances & private events. She has sung Michaela from Carmen and Tosca from Tosca in Perugia and has given regular concerts of opera in Umbria and Tuscany.
Whilst living in Italy, Sally Ann started to perform jazz regularly with a trio and a jazz band at concerts, clubs and private events including the Umbria Jazz fringe festival for several years. Sally Ann is delighted to have returned to the UK at the end of 2012 and looks forward to singing jazz at venues here.
An inspirational, upcoming talent on the international jazz scene Marco Marconi as played at Umbria Jazz, the Umbria Film Festival, Monterchi Festival, Arezzo Jazz, Festival of Nations, Valmarecchia Festival and Festival dei Saraceni ( Turin ) in Italy as well as Lancaster Music Festival and Cheltenham Jazz Fringe Festival in the UK. In 2010 Marco was chosen by the prestigious italian piano makers Fazioli, to record a Jazz CD in piano solo in their concert hall near Venice and MOSAICO was launched in January 2011. With the aim of introducing his own unique style of music to the UK, Marco is now based.
